ATLANTA—charbaxter.communications, an agency specializing in integrated marketing services for the technology industry, has hired Marjorie Adler as director of new business development.
A 13-year new business development veteran, Adler most recently held consulting positions with Monumental Interactive, a new media agency in Atlanta, and the agency Solomon Says, Inc.
“We are delighted that Marjorie has joined our team,” said Char Baxter, CEO and founder of charbaxter.communications. “She will be instrumental in helping us build new business relationships, particularly with companies who need help developing branding strategies that deliver high impact in these cautionary times.”
Adler said she is looking forward to working with a proven company that knows how to deliver fresh ideas to a changing marketplace. “I’m very impressed with charbaxter.communications, with the quality of their work, and their commitment to delivering integrated marketing strategies that help clients get the most from their budgets,” she said. “The uncertainty of the wartime economy has made it even more important for companies to market prudently, and this is something charbaxter.communications is very good at.”
She cited the agency’s recently developed image audit as one way companies can evaluate how well their marketing dollars are being spent—for free. “This is definitely a tool I’ll be offering prospective clients who fit charbaxter.communications’ core competencies,” she said. “Through the image audit, companies can get a confidential analysis from the pros on how well their marketing messages and materials are working for them, and a set of recommendations on how they can be improved.”
When she was with Monumental Interactive, Adler won business from top Atlanta employers including AOL Time Warner and UPS. With Solomon Says, Inc., she won the Goizueta Business School account, a $250,000 per year account that was the agency’s largest single source of income. Previously she worked as a sales representative for Darby Printing Company in Atlanta, and also has held positions with Turner Publishing, Macmillan Computer Publishing in Indianapolis, and John Wiley & Sons, Inc., and Macmillan Publishing in New York. She has a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the State University of New York in Binghamton.
